• First Friday! Swing Dance Social
The only bug you’ll want to catch this season is the jitterbug, thanks to lessons by Society Hill Swing Dance, followed by a performance by Blackbird Society Orchestra at the Barnes. The paintings will step in on the action thanks to a short talk by Senior Director of Conservation and Chief Conservator of Paintings Barbara Buckley on dance-themed pieces in the collection.

• Body Language and Under the Skin
Nonprofit InLiquid presents two openings on one block, with a group show and solo exhibition. The first constructs narrative through representations of the human body, while the latter breaks narrative down through stark imagery over neutral backgrounds.
